The Story Behind the Business

• 2003 – The Pie Folks Begin: Founders Audrey and Ronald Anderson launched The Pie Folks in Cordova with just five pie flavors. Their original signature creation, the "Poconut Pie"—a sweet potato and coconut blend—became an instant crowd favorite.
• National Recognition: With Audrey as the award-winning creative force, the menu grew to over 25 innovative flavors, earning top honors at the American Pie Council's National Pie Championships sponsored by Crisco.
• February 2024 – A New Chapter: After two decades of success, the Andersons spotted a gap in the local dessert scene for a dedicated banana eatery. Leveraging nearly 20 years of baking expertise, Audrey pivoted the business to launch Planet Banana, bringing a fresh, inventive concept to Memphis.
